In January 2009, Manulife-Sinochem was named by Hexun.com as "The most Trustworthy Insurance Company" and "Outstanding Brand Building Award".

In February 2009, "21st Century Business Herald" published 2008 China life insurance companies' competitiveness ranking report. Manulife-Sinochem was ranked seventh among all the Chinese life insurance companies, and the first among foreign invested /joint venture insurance companies in China.

In March 2009, Manulife-Sinochem Sichuan Branch Mianyang Fucheng Sales Office officially began its operation.

In March 2009, Manulife-Sinochem was awarded by China Insurance Marketing the "Annual Branding Award".

In April 2009, Manulife-Sinochem officially launched 2009 Baby Campaign "Baby's First Touching Moments".
