In January 2009, Manulife-Sinochem was named Hexun.com as “The most trustworthy Insurance Company” and “Outstanding Branding Company”.

In February 2009, “21st Century Business Herald” published 2008 China life insurance companies’ competitiveness ranking report. Manulife-Sinochem was ranked seventh among all the Chinese life insurance companies, and the first among foreign invested /joint venture insurance companies in China.

In March 2009, Manulife-Sinochem Sichuan Branch Mianyang Fucheng Sales Office officially started operation.

In March 2009, Manulife-Sinochem was awarded by China Insurance Marketing as “The Focus of Insurance”.

In April 2009, Manulife-Sinochem officially launched 2009 Baby Campaign “Baby’s first touching affair”.

In May 2009, Manulife-Sinochem received licensing approval from CIRC to establish a new Branch in Shenyang, Liaoning province.

In July 2009, Manulife-Sinochem launched two new group packages – Group Accidental and Group Comprehensive.

In August 2009, Manulife-Sinochem in cooperation with the financial newspaper Money Week launched a large-scale survey of Chinese middle-class family happiness.

In October 2009, Manulife-Sinochem received licensing approval from CIRC to establish a new Branch in Tianjin province.

In October 2009, Manulife-Sinochem launched 2009 CSR event “Love Brings Dreams”, and the theme of the event called “Listening to the Love Echo,” which will help the deaf children in Sichuan poverty areas realizing their dreams.
