In September 2006, Manulife-Sinochem signed Luo Wei, the champion of Athens Olympic, to be the Olympic ambassador.

In August 2006, Manulife-Sinochem Sichuan branch launched a grand opening in Chengdu.

In March 2006, Manulife-Sinochem launched a ceremony for its tenth anniversary in Shanghai International Press Center. Canada's Consul General in Shanghai, the parent companies Manulife Financial and Sinochem’s senior officials, media, management and agents from Manulife-Sinochem, more than 400 guests attended the celebration.
