In December 2005, Manulife-Sinochem Jiangsu Branch held a grand opening in Nanjing.

In September 2005, Manulife-Sinochem Zhejiang Branch held a grand opening ceremony.

In August 2005, Manulife-Sinochem officially started its Group Insurance business.

In April 2005, Manulife-Sinochem Ningbo Branch launched a grand opening ceremony.

In 2005, China Insurance Regulatory Commission approved Manulife-Sinochem to extend its operational scope from Guangzhou to Guangdong province, and extend its business scope to group life and health insurance.
